Your most meaningful moments are trapped on your phone. I take the footage you've already captured and turn it into a story worth sitting down together to watch — quietly, fully present, on the big screen.

I am not automated, and I don't have a team of editors. It's just me, Carolyn, personally dedicated to your project from start to finish. To learn more about my experience, visit my bio page.
Your memories are precious, and I treat them with the utmost care. I will never share or use your footage for business promotion — ever. All footage is permanently deleted from my projects within three months after you receive your final video.
Whether your videos feature your children, your partner, or your beloved pets, my goal is to help you archive the life you've built with those you love most.
To maintain a welcoming environment for everyone, I'm unable to accept projects containing violence or sensitive/explicit content. If such content is shared, I will kindly issue a full refund and close the project immediately.

Those auto-generated videos are created by an algorithm — randomly selecting clips, applying generic music, with no understanding of what actually matters in your footage. They're usually 30–60 seconds, played on your phone, and forgotten the next day.
What I make is completely different. I watch your footage. I choose what stays and what goes. I find the story in it — the beginning, the middle, the end. The blurry 4-second clip of your kid laughing that an algorithm would skip? That might be the most important moment in the whole batch. A human can tell. An algorithm can't.
And the destination matters just as much as the quality. Auto-videos live on your phone. What I deliver is a proper 1080p file built to fill your TV screen — something you sit down and actually watch, together, with the people you love.
There's something my dad used to do when I was growing up. He'd pull out his camera footage, hook up the VCR, and we'd all gather around the TV and watch together. Everyone in the room, fully present, laughing and pointing and really paying attention. We don't really have that anymore — and I miss it. Watch Your Life was made to bring that feeling back. Not a phone passed around a dinner table. Not watching alone. Together.
You absolutely can — and if you love doing it, go for it! But most people find that the reality is very different from the intention. Going back through hundreds of clips on a tiny screen, making editing decisions with your fingertips, learning the software, choosing music, managing a chaotic mix of vertical and horizontal footage — it's genuinely overwhelming. And it takes hours.
The footage sits there. Weeks pass. Then months. Then it's next year and you still haven't done it. Sound familiar? That's exactly why Watch Your Life exists. You send me the footage. I do the work. You get back something finished — and you actually watch it.
No — I deliver your finished file to you, but I don't post it to YouTube on your behalf. However, I highly recommend using a private or unlisted YouTube channel to watch your video on your TV. It's free, easy to set up, and keeps your memories private. Visit my YouTube & Privacy Guide for step-by-step instructions on how to do this and how to keep your videos private.
No problem at all — most people do! All final files are delivered in 1080p horizontal format (the standard TV/widescreen ratio). For vertical clips (shot on a phone in portrait mode), I'll crop and reframe them to fit the horizontal format, but you will see black bars on either side of the frame. This is completely normal and expected given the original orientation of the clip. For Storyteller Movies, I also deliver a vertical version alongside the horizontal one.
All deliverables are output at 1080p (Full HD) in horizontal format. This is the standard for TVs and most screens, and looks great whether you're watching on a large television or a laptop. The quality of individual clips within the video will reflect the quality they were originally captured at.
I accept footage from Google Photos, iCloud, Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, or any shared link from a major cloud service. If you don't use a cloud service, that's totally fine — after you submit your order, I'll send you a personal Dropbox upload link so you can upload clips directly from your camera roll. No Dropbox account needed on your end.
After you submit your order form, I'll review everything and send you a secure payment link via email. Full payment is collected before your final file is delivered. For the Quarterly Subscription, you'll be billed each quarter automatically.
The Quarterly Subscription means you'll receive one chronological video file every three months, all year long — four total deliveries. It's billed at $45 per quarter (vs. $75 per individual Quarterly Catalogue). You'll receive an email reminder to send in your footage within 15 business days of each quarter ending. If footage isn't received in time, that quarter may not be processed.
Yes! You can add a Revision Round to any Storyteller Movie package for an additional $100. This gives you one complete round of edits — you review the first cut, provide your notes, and I'll revise accordingly. The revision add-on must be selected at the time of ordering. Living Library packages are chronological archives and are not eligible for revision rounds.
I'll deliver your finished file via a download link sent to your email, typically through Google Drive or Dropbox. You'll have plenty of time to save it before the link expires. From there, you can upload it to a private YouTube channel to watch on your TV — check out my YouTube & Privacy Guide for easy instructions.
Living Library files (Quarterly, Single Year, Yearly Catalogue) vary in length depending on how much footage you send — the goal is a complete, watchable story rather than a strict runtime. Storyteller Movies are 3–5 minutes, polished and cinematic. They're designed to feel like a real movie moment, not a raw compilation.
Dim the lights, grab the popcorn, and finally watch your story where it belongs — on the TV, together.
